Independence Day Festival

Join us for the 56th annual family-friendly, small-town Independence Day Celebration at the St. Marys Waterfront

Food, Fun & Fireworks!

Festival is Free and Open to the Public.

  
Board the Cumberland Queen II at the Park Service Dock at 7:15 p.m.
Boat departs promptly at 7:30 p.m.
After a cruise on the river to Cumberland Sound, the boat returns to the St. Marys Waterfront Dock for the fireworks display.
Small Coolers allowed.
Tickets sell out every year.  

2026 Independence Day Festival Events 
(Tentative Schedule)

7 am                                 5k /10k Races -- Start & Finish -- Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church
8 am                                 Kids Fun Run -- Start & Finish --  Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church
9 am                                 Food, Arts & Craft Vendors - Kids Fun Zone (some closures at 5 pm)
10 am                               Parade -- Starts at Osborne St. at Meeting St. & continues down Osborne St. turning on St. Marys St. &  ends at Bartlett St.
11:15 am - 12:15 pm  Grimsley' Fighting Arts - In front of Stage at Osborne
Noon                                Earl of Camden Chapter DAR Program at Orange Hall
1:00 pm - 2:00 pm       Music - Saltwater Performing Arts, Park Gazebo
2:30 pm - 3:30 pm        Music - The Heirs at Park Gazebo
6 pm - 9:00 pm              Music - The Bluff 5 Band, Park Amphitheatre
7:30 pm - 10 pm           Boat Excursion for Fireworks -- Tickets ($35 each) available at St. Marys Welcome Center &
 Kingsland Welcome
9:30 pm                          Fireworks Over the St. Marys River-- approximate start (1st shell @ 9:15 pm, 2nd & 3rd shell @ 9:25 pm, Show starts at 9:30 pm

PLEASE LEAVE YOUR PETS AT HOME FOR THEIR WELL-BEING AND THE SAFETY OF OUR GUESTS.

Parking/Street Closures:  
  • Downtown Streets Closures will include Osborne beginning at Weed St. and going down to the waterfront.  St. Marys St. beginning at Bartlett to Ready Street (This is the waterfront area). 
  • There is free parking on all the sides streets.  

Festival proceeds are used to support programs that focus primarily on children and youth in our locals schools and community.
